The Greater Maple Valley Area Council regular monthly meeting is scheduled for 7-9:30 p.m. Monday, April 5 at King County Sheriff’s Precinct 3 at the northeast corner southeast 231st Street and state Route 169.
All members of the public are invited to attend. During the open comment period at the start of the meeting members of the public can address the council on local issues of importance to them.
There will be three topics discussed:
• Fire sprinkler requirements: King County Department of Development and Environmental Services and Fire District No. 43 officials;
• Rural economic strategies: Julia Larson from the King County Office of Strategic Planning and
•Master planned developments: Peter Rimbos will speak on the recently completed final environmental impact statement appeals and master planned development application hearings in Black Diamond.
The council members are locally elected and represent unincorporated area residents living in the Tahoma School District.
It serves as an advisory body to the King County Council.
