All subjects in the police blotter are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
FRAUD
• On Sept. 29 officers responded to reports that a current Tahoma School District employee received a letter from the Human Resources Department confirming they no longer worked for the district and are now seeking unemployment benefits. The letter turned out to be a false letter sent to the employee because they still do work for the district.
• On Oct. 2 it was reported that the victim had four fraudulent charges on her Bank of America credit card totaling $263.50. According to the police report, the victim does not know who obtained her personal information.
FAMILY DISTURBANCE
• On Sept. 29 it was reported that a grandmother does not want to return her grandchildren to the custody of their parents because she claims they are drug addicts.
DRIVING WITH LICENSE REVOKED
• On Sept. 29 officers pulled over a vehicle for failing to stop at a stop sign. After contacting the driver, officers learned the driver has a suspended licenses and a warrant for fourth degree assault.
