Five Maple Valley Girl Scout troops went sailing on the 97-year-old historic schooner, The Adventuress, Saturday, May 8.

It was a fun, hands-on learning experience that included working cooperatively to set the sails and rotating through five discovery stations involving marine life, plankton, watersheds, nautical skills and life aboard ship. The three hour sailing trip included girls and parents from Girl Scout troops 2321, 313, 42883, 50256 and 41113.
