Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety firefighters were dispatched to a home fire at 6:51 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 6.

Firefighters found fire in the attached garage of the home. The fire was attacked through the open garage door and extinguished. Firefighters checked the home and the attic to ensure no fire had extended into those areas.

The fire was contained to the garage with smoke damage inside the home. No one was injured. The loss was estimated at $160,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
