Families in the south King County area who qualify could get help paying their Puget Sound Energy gas bill through Multi-Service Center’s energy assistance program.

The program is for residents who own or rent their residences, directly pay their gas bills, and whose incomes are at or below the current qualifying guidelines. Multi-Service Center may may cover all or a portion of a gas bill or arrange a credit to clients’ accounts. Multi-Service Center, which is based in Federal Way, manages assistance programs for housing, energy assistance, food and clothing, education and employment. A spokeswoman for the agency said Covington and Maple Valley area among communities it serves.
