Hundreds of youngsters ranging in age from 1-year-olds to third graders descended on Lake Wilderness Park for the 15th Annual Community Egg Hunt.

Little ones had baskets with baseballs and footballs on them to favorite characters such as Elmo while older children had buckets, reusable shopping bags and even Halloween Trick or Treat pails.

Sparky the dog from Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety joined the Easter Bunny in greeting kids as they entered the park while staff from the Greater Maple Valley Community Center made animal balloons.

When the fire engine sounded the signal a free-for-all began and within minutes the thousands of colorful plastic eggs spread across the ground were safely ensconced in Easter baskets.
