The Kentwood High Trade Show drew a large gathering of students to check out the businesses with booths in the school gym June 1.
According to marketing teacher Mark Zender the school has been presenting the trade show for more than 15 years. This year 68 companies were represented, which is a considerable jump from the 46 in 2009.
The students contact companies and receive the right to represent the business at the show.
“The 2010 version of our trade show was very successful,” Zender wrote in an e-mail. “This is the biggest project of the year for these kids and they came through with flying colors.”
Zender noted, “Sometimes it is amazing what they accomplish. This is a real-world experience for them. They learn so much about how hard people have to work to be successful.”
