Emergency medical tech’s license suspended for felony charges

The state Department of Health reported the emergency medical technician license of 22-year-old Zachary Alex Cadiente has been suspended.

The state Department of Health reported the emergency medical technician license of 22-year-old Zachary Alex Cadiente has been suspended.

Cadiente was charged Sept. 23 with third-degree rape of a child, which is a class C felony, by the King County Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the charging documents Cadiente is a Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety volunteer firefighter who stays at the Ravensdale fire station. The prosecutor’s office stated he is the “sole person that inhabits the fire station.”

The charging papers alleged Cadiente had relations with a 15-year-old girl at the station Aug. 24.

Cadiente has no criminal history and was released on his personal recognizance after his arrest. A no-contact order was filed by the prosecutor prohibiting Cadiente from contacting the girl.

A case setting hearing is scheduled for Jan. 14. at the Kent Regional Justice Center.

The Department of Health Jan. 5 release stated, “The Secretary of Health, Emergency Medical Services and Trauma System program immediately suspended the license of emergency medical technician Zachary Cadiente… pending further proceedings.”
