DRUNK AND PACKING: 20800 block of Kent Kangley Road. A drive was stopped for speeding and arrested for driving under the influence. During the arrest, the officer discovered the driver had a loaded .45 caliber weapon under his leg, but the driver did have a valid concealed weapons permit.
- Oct. 4
HELPFUL NEIGHBOR: 22000 block of Southeast 276th Street. Someone spray painted what appeared to be gang-related graffiti on a fence. When the homeowner returned, a neighbor advised her of the graffiti, but “didn’t want the victim to worry” so he cleaned it up for her.

CAUGHT PROWLING: Southeast 267th Street 213th Avenue Southeast. After being caught for prowling neighborhoods looking for vehicles to break into, the would-be thief also had alcohol in his possession, but was under 21.
COVINGTON
- Oct. 10
ARGUMENT: 19500 block of Southeast 265th Street. A juvenile male damaged a wall after having an argument with his girlfriend.
- Oct. 8
OVERDOSE: 16700 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A man smoked heroin before meeting up with his friends. He later passed out in a friend’s car that was parked in a fast food parking lot. He was revived by medics.
- Oct. 7
APPEALING SIGN: 27600 block of Covington Way. Someone broke into a business, cut the wire to the security camera then stole the “Open” sign.
- ANGRY BOOK LOVER: 27100 block of 164th Avenue Southeast. An unidentified library patron pushed a computer into another patron when they lost “emotional control.”
- Oct. 5
BAD BUS BEHAVIOR: 19600 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A male student who attends a middle school in Covington pulled down a female student’s shirt and groped her while riding the bus home from school.
- Oct. 2
HIT AND RUN: 26100 block of 201st Place Southeast. A witness saw a black Kia Soul driving at a high rate of speed. The driver lost control of the car and hit a tree in the Addison Landing neighborhood. The reporting party did not see the license plate. There was minimal damage to the tree and what appeared to be minor damage to the vehicle.
