Downed trees, power lines prompting road closures in SE King County

High wind warning in effect until 4 p.m. this afternoon

King County road crews are responding to several reports of downed trees on county roadways in Southeast King County this afternoon due to high wind.

Currently, a section of Auburn Black Diamond Road about one mile west of the city of Black Diamond and 42 Ave. S. at S. Starlake Rd are closed due to downed trees and lines. The roads will remain closed until the trees and lines can be safely removed.

With a high wind warning up until 4 p.m., use extreme caution if you are traveling in the East King County lowlands. You should also monitor weather forecasts to stay on top of changing conditions.
