Dog left tied to railing for three hours during cold weather | Black Diamond Police Blotter

An officer was dispatched to a commercial business on 3rd Avenue for an animal complaint. The caller advised a black Chow-mix dog had been tied to a railing near the business for three hours.

  • TIED DOG: 31500 block of 3rd Avenue. An officer was dispatched to a commercial business on 3rd Avenue for an animal complaint. The caller advised a black Chow-mix dog had been tied to a railing near the business for three hours. The caller had no further information. Upon arrival the officer located a tag on the dog’s collar that had a nearby animal hospital listed. Since this animal hospital was closed and the weather was cold, the dog was transported to another animal hospital so it could be treated for any injuries.

  • DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: 31900 block of Lake Sawyer Road. Officers were dispatched to a possible physical dispute occurring on the side of Lake Sawyer Road. Upon arrival officers by a woman she was in a verbal fight with her ex-boyfriend. The woman said there was no physical abuse or threats of abuse. The woman said the argument was about her ex-boyfriend not returning her cell phone to her. The ex-boyfriend had left the area and was later contacted at his residence. He confirmed that no abuse or threats of abuse had occurred and returned the phone. Domestic Violence Resource information was provided to each party upon their request. Both parties agreed to separate for the night.
