For the second year in a row, the Digs for Denise volleyball tournament returned to Lake Wilderness Park Aug. 1.
The tournament is in honor of Denise Thom, a Fairwood resident, who died in September 2014.
Thom was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in October 2012.
Smith represents the 9th Congressional District and Schrier represents the 8th Congressional District.
The district includes Kent, Covington and Auburn.
After voting no twice, 59% of union members approved the latest contract.
