MARCH 22
MARIJUANA: 3rd Avenue. An officer was dispatched at 5 p.m.to a possible burglary in progress at a vacant residence. A vehicle was located across the street occupied with one female. Upon contact with the female, she advised the two males that were at the property worked for a mortgage company and were going to do a bid to clean up the property. She was asked to step out of the vehicle and as she did her purse was sitting in plain view with marijuana in a cellophane wrapper. When questioned, she admitted the marijuana was hers and confessed to having a metal pipe and glass meth pipe also in her purse. She was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the two males at the residence were in fact there to submit a bid for clean up.
MARCH 20
SUSPENDED LICENSE: 31100 block of 3rd Avenue. An officer stopped a vehicle at 7:30 a.m. for failure to transfer title. The 56-year-old male driver was cited for suspended license in the second degree, failure to transfer title and no vehicle insurance. The passenger, with a valid license, was able to drive the vehicle.
MARCH 18
DEBIT CARD THEFT: A woman reported her debit card had been fraudulently used in Mexico City at an unidentified clothing store. Her financial institute had notified her of the charge, which she stated she did not make. The bank identified the charge as being used in Mexico City, although they were unable to identify a specific address. A physical card was presented at the time of the attempted fraud. The victim stated there were only two times in the last two weeks where she used her card at local establishments. An investigation is pending.
ILLEGAL DUMPING: Plass Road. At 2 p.m. a citizen reported there was a suspect dumping garbage. Upon the officer’s arrival, they noticed a large amount of scrap metal and an old, large TV. The reporting citizen was able to provide the officer with a license plate and a description of the male. The officer was familiar with the suspect, due to previous contacts and was able to contact the male and escort him back to the area to clean up the debris or be cited for illegal dumping. He chose to clean up the debris.
MARCH 17
CAR PROWL: McKay Lane. A man reported his neighbor had told him there was an attempted car prowl on his vehicle. The neighbor saw two males at 9 p.m. standing next to his truck, when the male attempted to open the truck door, the neighbor opened his front door and yelled at them. The subjects took off running. Nothing was taken and nothing was damaged.
DOMESTIC DISPUTE: 23000 block of S.E. 291st. At 7 p.m. officers were dispatched to a verbal domestic dispute. A women reported she and her husband were in a heated argument. After speaking with both parties involved, the male decided he would leave and come back later in the evening.
MARCH 16
THEFT: 24700 block of Morgan Street. Police received a report of a theft from his locked truck. The owner said he arrived home at approximately 3:30 a.m. and noticed the door of his truck sitting open and the locks damaged. A CB radio and satellite radio unit were stolen.
