Former Kent School District music teacher and jazz saxophone player Darren Motamedy performed Thursday night as part of Maple Valley’s Music in the Park series at Lake Wilderness Park.

Motamedy has recorded nine jazz albums and despite moving to Las Vegas three years ago, returns regularly to perform in the Seattle area. He has been a staple in Maple Valley’s Music in the Park lineup for several years now.
