Covington to host free community workshop on natural disasters

The evening will help residents learn more about the city's study on vulnerability as part of the Hazard Mitigation Plan.

The city of Covington will host a free workshop on the hazards of natural disasters and how to reduce impacts from them from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 5 at Covington City Hall.

The evening will help residents learn more about the city’s study on vulnerability as part of the Hazard Mitigation Plan.

Hazards that will be discussed include dam failure, drought, earthquake, flood, landslide, volcano, and wildfire.
