This writing circle is your place to share what you’re working on, give and receive feedback, and have fun!

Youth Drop-In

Study Zone

Mondays-Thursdays, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Grades K-12.
Drop-in during scheduled Study Zone hours for free homework help from volunteer tutors.

Senior Sunday

Sunday, Feb. 1, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Make a special visit to the library before the big game! Come before regular open hours for a unique event designed especially for Adults 50+. Enjoy a cup of coffee and a snack while you use the library.

AARP Tax Help

Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, Feb. 2 to April 15, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Get free individualized tax preparation assistance provided by trained AARP volunteers.
No age or income limits.
Please bring picture I.D., documented proof of Social Security Number, and last year’s return as well as any current tax documents.
Preference for senior citizens and low income filers. No complex or business returns. Please pickup and complete the AARP Intake form at the Information Desk.
Appointments for the first week will be taken starting on Monday, Jan. 26. Please call 253.630.8761.

The KCLS adult series, Mind Matters, offers free programs, classes, tips and reading suggestions to stay sharp with many topics, from nutrition to meditation to diet, music, memory, prevention and healing, and even juggling!

Practice speaking English with other English language learners.

Citizenship Class

Saturdays, 10 a.m.
Learn how to become a United States Citizen. Study for the naturalization test, including civics and government questions, reading and writing English, and practicing your interview skills. Classes are free, join anytime!

One-on-One Computer Help

Saturday, Feb. 14 and 28, 1 p.m.
Have computer or software questions? Volunteers are here for you. You may bring your own laptop, but volunteers cannot provide hands-on or hardware assistance.
