Mayor Margaret Harto reported the cities of Covington and Auburn have been approached by representatives of Kent’s Sister City Committee about forming a joint sister city relationship with a group of three small municipalities (Melaque, Cihuatlan and Barra de Navidad) located along the Pacific coast in the state of Jalisco, Mexico.

An informational meeting about the proposal is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday in the Glacier Room of the Lindbloom Center at Green River Community College.
