Covington officials are accepting vendor applications now for its annual summer festival, Covington Days, set for the third weekend of July.

This past year the city of Covington organized and coordinated the festival, which is a Seafair sanctioned event, for the first time in years following a long run by the Covington Lions club.

The festival kicked off last summer with the parade that had 45 entries with the route being a bit longer this year, coming down Southeast 272nd Street and ending in the downtown business core. More than 90 vendors participated in 2013 and attendance rose significantly.
