The city of Covington will host an open house from 6:30-8 p.m. on Dec. 11 on the Jenkins Creek to 185th Place SE, state Route 516 improvement project.

The open house, which will be held at the Covington City Hall council chambers, will be an opportunity for residents to learn about this capital improvement project.

The project is to widen and reconstruct a portion of SE 272nd Street between Jenkins Creek and 185th Place SE. It will include the crossing of Jenkins Creek with a new structure for the stream, widening the street from two lanes to five lanes including curb and gutter, 8-foot sidewalks, access control features, landscaping, and provisions for u-turns.
