Candlelight vigil one year after crash of flight 3407 that killed Maple Valley’s Rebecca Shaw

Today marks one year since the crash of Colgan Air Flight 3407 in Clarence, N.Y. taking the life of 50 people including Rebecca Shaw, a resident of Maple Valley and co-pilot on the plane.

Hundreds of people, including family members of those who died in the crash, marched about 10 miles from the site of crash to the Buffalo Niagara International Airport where the plane was supposed to land.

The Buffalo News Web site posted a story with pictures and a video of the days events.

At 10:17 p.m. EST there was a candlelight vigil for those who lost their lives.

Shaw graduated from Tahoma High in 2002 and attended Central Washington University. She began flying with Colgan Air in January 2008.
