Boy knocked unconscious following bicycle accident Saturday | Mountain View Fire and Rescue

The Mountain View Fire and Rescue/Black Diamond Fire Department responded to a call of a 14-year-old boy Saturday, Jan. 23, who was unconscious following a bicycle accident near the intersection of Summit Drive and state Route 169.

The Mountain View Fire and Rescue/Black Diamond Fire Department responded to a call of a 14-year-old boy Saturday, Jan. 23, who was unconscious following a bicycle accident near the intersection of Summit Drive and state Route 169.

Engine 98 arrived on the scene at about 2:30 p.m. and was informed the boy was about a quarter mile back in the woods.

Witnesses at the scene stated the boy fell about 20 feet after going off a jump and was unconscious for about 30 seconds.

Emergency personnel found the boy conscious and on the ground. After treating the boy at the scene he was transferred to an area hospital.
