Black Diamond City Council continues deliberations on YarrowBay master planned developments

The council members met in executive session Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and were expected to continue to meet in closed session Thursday.

According to city officials, after Thursday’s meeting the council is scheduled to meet again for deliberations on the developments from 4 to 7 p.m. Aug. 9 in City Council chambers.

The members are considering the approval of permits for the two developments proposed by YarrowBay, a Kirkland development firm.

The city’s hearing examiner proposed conditional approval of the developments.

The hearing before the council began June 21 and testimony from the parties of record, staff and YarrowBay representatives ended July 15.

YarrowBay is planning to build about 6,000 residences on the two developments with retail, industrial and office space.
