The Auburn Valley YMCA is offering a free weekly support group for anyone interested in stopping tobacco use, newly quit, struggling with relapse, looking for accountability or helping a friend quit. The time of the group is 5:30-6:30 p.m. Mondays beginning July 12 at the Auburn Valley YMCA conference room, 1620 Perimeter Rd. or 6-7 p.m. beginning July 14 at the Auburn Regional Medical Center education room, Plaza One, 202 North Division St.

Free accelerated workshop to quit smoking

A free three-hour workshop moves tobacco users from the mindset of “I should quit” to “I will quit” and provides the techniques and support needed to accomplish it. The program includes information on cutting-edge resources, hands-on activities and practical steps for quitting tobacco permanently.

Participants will leave with a personalized quit plan ready to put into action.

The time of the workshop is 12:30-3:30 p.m. Saturdays, July 17, Sept. 25 or Nov. 13 at the Auburn Valley YMCA conference room, 1620 Perimeter Rd.
