Local artist Nancy Ziegler will have a one-woman-show at the Maple Valley Creative Arts Center beginning Jan. 10. The reception will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Ziegler will have her photography, watercolor, acrylic and oil paintings on display.
She is a life-long resident of Covington, living in the home her family homesteaded in the 1800s. She retired from Boeing after thirty years and then took up painting at the age of 62. Her realistic portrayals of wildlife, landscapes and local scenery capture her love of life and the beauty around her.
The Creative Arts Council will serve wine and cheese along with other refreshments and the event is free and open to all. For more information, visit the Arts Council website and Facebook page.
