BAG BUSTERS MOVIE
The Bag Busters are bringing the movie Bag It to Covington on Oct. 5. Bag It is an award-winning documentary that follows a man that tries to make sense of our dependence on plastic bags.
The average American uses 500 plastic bags a year, for 12 minutes each.
The Bag Busters are trying to get rid of plastic bags in Covington, one way is by sharing their knowledge of how harmful plastic bags are to the environment.
The Bag Busters recognize how harmful plastic bags are and want to ban them in as many cities as possible.
The movie will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 5 at Alliance Bible Church in Covington.
SHELTER OPEN HOUSE
Regional Animal Services of King County will participate in the fifth annual Statewide Animal Shelter Open House Oct. 1. It is hosted by Pawsitive Alliance and sponsored by Good Neighbor Vet and PetConnections Magazine.
