COVINGTON

March 26

  • REPEAT OFFENSE: 19500 block of Southeast 265th Street. A few months ago a rash of apparently targeted acts of vandalism began happening to the victim. Her cable and phone lines have been cut, a potato was shoved into the muffler of her car and this time someone smashed out the window of her vehicle. She has no idea why she has been targeted.

March 24

  • FUNNY MONEY: 17200 block of Southeast 272nd Street. The suspect tried to use a fake $100 bill at Taco Time. After employees confirmed it was counterfeit, the manager confronted the suspect, who left the store.

March 23

  • FOUND: 27100 block of 164th Avenue Southeast. A man’s laptop is located at the Covington Library and returned to him at his home.

 

MAPLE VALLEY

March 28

  • PROSTITUTION: 21700 block of Southeast Wax Road. A woman was arrested for prostitution after she advertised her services on www.backpage.com.

March 25

  • SUSPENDED LICENSE: 25500 block of state Route 169. A driver was pulled over for have an obstructed license plate. Turns out the motorist was driving with a suspended license. The driver was booked into jail after resisting arrest and the car was towed.

March 23

  • FIGHT: 23200 block of state Route 169. A patron of Gloria’s started a fight in the bar and is trespassed after the victim decides not to assist in prosecution.

March 22

  • STOLEN PACKAGE: 24700 block of 233rd Place Southeast. Sometime on March 10 the homeowner returned expecting a package to have been delivered. It was not on his front porch. The homeowner then contacted the delivery company, UPS, which confirmed the package was delivered. Authorities suspect someone stole the package from the victim’s front porch.
  • THIRSTY: 26800 block of state Route 169. A female patron turned shoplifter at a state liquor store when she stuffed bottles of alcohol into her tote bag then walked out of the store without paying for them.
  • IDENTIFY THEFT: 23400 block of Southeast 247th Street. Someone applied for close to 20 different credit cards in the victim’s name. The woman also discovered that someone had changed the address on her primary checking account to one in Puyallup.

March 21

  • CREDIT CARD FRAUD: 25300 block of 237th Place Southeast. A woman discovered someone had fraudulently used her credit union check card to make purchases totaling $3,244.11. The victim told police she had her check card and had only used it in Maple Valley in the past month.
