The Black Diamond Community Center will be hosting a beginning stained glass art class this September. The class runs for seven weeks, each Wednesday morning, from Sept. 7-Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. to noon.
The class is free. It is sponsored by Seniors Making Art.
Local senior Tom Gates will be the instructor.
This class is designed to teach the basic skills to complete several stained glass objects.
The class will learn to cut and grind glass, foil and solder. All materials and tools will be provided in the
class.
Participants need to be able to independently use glass cutters,
grinders, and soldering equipment with basic instruction.
No artistic experience is necessary.
Participants must be new to the program.
