Students, young children and parents joined employees and staff from eight Lowe’s stores for a service day of work and fun at The Institute for Community Leadership’s O’Dell Education and Reflection Center Campus near Covington Sept. 19.
The project linked service and the promotion of the environment with the development of healthy and positive communities.
Students, families and Lowe’s employees built an educational trail around the 20-acre facility, installed reflective kiosks for protection from the rain, prepare grounds around the institute’s new dormer facility.
The Institute for Community Leadership, a Puget Sound based ethical leadership organization, provides classes and workshops throughout the West Coast of the United States and at the O’Dell Education and Reflection Center in Kent.
