Not all gray | Poem by Chris McElroy

Childhood prodigies swept by conspiracy cleaned by a tragedy overlooked by society

Childhood prodigies

swept by conspiracy

cleaned by a tragedy

overlooked by society

A clandestine government

paints our world away

all we know is gray

Towers and bridges

roads and cities

Trestles and tunnels

supersede

trees and flowers

rivers and creeks

hillsides and plains

Be that as it may

a generation anew

in a worlds dismay

an enclave

precious as may

Hand in hand

with love and strength

A delicate bond

an imperative bond

one that may

show the world

Its Not all Gray
