God’s Voice | Poem by Chris McElroy

To myself as a student A question is asked A line is crossed A voice is spoken A voice however cannot be heard

God’s Voice

To myself as a student

A question is asked

A line is crossed

A voice is spoken

A voice however cannot be heard

As the student of life

It is my Task

It is my duty

It is my reason

To solve the riddle

To cross the line

To become the teacher

To hear the voice

God’s voice

Nothing? Everything?

Quiet? Loud?

Misunderstood?

Riddles have keys

This key is a balance, a trinity

For there are three crosses

Three and only three

Will hold a perfect harmony

Words written

Words Spoken

Words are merely Words

Words mean nothing

Love is caring

Love is connection

Love is loyalty

Love is of three

Action is brave

Action is final

Action is true

Action is of three

Prosperity is powerful

Prosperity is tranquil

Prosperity is unity

Prosperity is of three

Love, Action, and Prosperity

Three words with three meanings

Three words like all

Mean nothing

The nine meanings

The one answer

The three words

Three choices

As a student

I must solve the riddle

To hear the voice

The voice is caring

The voice is connected

The voice is loyal

The voice is brave

The voice is final

The voice is true

The voice is powerful

The voice is tranquil

The voice is all as one

The voice has been spoken

I have crossed the line

Between student and teacher

I have heard the voice

Stop and listen…
