Covington city officials are planning a combined event for Earth Day and Arbor Day from 9 a.m. to noon on April 26 in the Foxwood neighborhood.

City maintenance workers will prepare the property for the event, and the community is invited to join in beautifying the site by planting trees, grass, shrubs and flowers, and by spreading bark.

The location is Southeast 257th Street, at the end of the cul-de-sac, officials said.

Residents can contact the city with suggestions for other projects in the future and to ask to have their names added to a volunteer list for projects.
