Calling all solo singers ages 7 to 15 to audition for the 2011 Maple Valley Idol, Jr. competition.

Each entrant must preregister online at www.maplevalleyarts.com or by phone at 425-432-0810, leave a message for a return phone call. Only the first 30 singers to preregister will be auditioned. A $5 nonrefundable registration fee will hold

your place.

Auditions will take place 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12 at the Maple Valley Creative Arts Center, 23220 Maple Valley Hwy. SE, Suite 15.

Singers can audition either a cappella or with a soundtrack on a single track CD (karaoke style). No iPods or MP3 players please. Contestants can perform one song of their choice.

A panel of judges will choose the top 14 contestants to perform in the finals on April 30. Judges will provide feedback immediately following each performance.

Finalists need to show a natural ability, quality of performance, showmanship and

audience appeal.
