Imagine…a school in your neighborhood that you have no control over. Your school board has no jurisdiction over it. And if you want to complain, you have to query a Committee in Olympia.
Imagine…this school is paid for out of your school district budget, meaning less monies for all the public schools. Your school district must pay for the daily maintenance of the building.
Imagine…your special needs child cannot attend this school because the private non-profit agency that is running the school does not offer the services that your child needs to be successful.
Children of color and those with special education needs are underserved in charter schools.
A Stanford study shows charters don’t work, most perform worse than public schools. Please vote no for I-1240.
