Time for new leadership in Black Diamond | Letter

Last night, July 11, I attended the public meeting at the Sawyer Wood Elementary School. What I got out of the dog and pony show was a young lady doing the pitch for a con job. The people that got up and commented were all correct in their points, but they may as well have gone outside and spit in the wind.

YarrowBay has the Black Diamond City Council in their pocket. They do not care about our way of life or the wildlife or the traffic congestion or anything except money. The people of Black Diamond must, I repeat must vote in a new council.

I live about 100 yards outside of the city limits so there isn’t much I can do about this shaft job.

I would like to suggest that this whole mess be put to a vote of the people and allow all residents within a 5 mile radius of Maple Valley and Black Diamond and Enumclaw to be included and vote.

The next thing I think those of us who do not live in a city of Black Diamond could start a class action law suit against YarrowBay.

I urge everyone to think about of 10,000 vehicles on our two lane roads and also what about the bridge over the river.

Who will have to pay for another bridge?
