I would like to say thank you to a local Santa’s helper who tried to help tow me out of a ditch Monday, Nov. 22. I hit a patch of ice on Petrovitsky and slid into a ditch. Not too long after that a local Air Force test pilot for Boeing drove up and offered to help. Unfortunately he was unable to get us out, but when the tow truck showed up he let my two sons and myself sit in his truck to stay warm and even shared his banana. He said if it was his wife and child he would hope someone would stop to help them. In today’s world I’m not so sure how many of us would stop to help, we all seem to be too busy or are afraid to get involved.
Thanks to this man. He helped to teach my oldest son a valuable lesson and we are now working to pay it forward.
