I support Mary Jane Glaser for Tahoma School Board, and you should too.
Two words help describe Mary Jane – leadership and community.
Regarding leadership Mary Jane has served as school board president several times, demonstrating the trust the other Board members have in her as their leader. Her leadership was critical to the passing of the Bond for the new high school – we need her continued leadership to assure it is successfully completed. It doesn’t make sense to make a change now. The new high school is incredibly important to the future of our community. We don’t want to jeopardize it in any way.
Mary Jane is also all about community. Take her leadership in the Maple Valley Creative Arts Council where she currently serves as president. This group, under her sustained leadership and direction has supported the Arts in Maple Valley for at least a decade and has been a driving force for the art show during Maple Valley Days, the Maple Valley Film Festival (remember that?- screenings at the old Junior High School), initial support to the Maple Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra, artist shows and music events at their local venue, the creation of the city’s Public Arts Commission and lately the energy behind the creation of a pocket park located between between two businesses in a an unused space in a local shopping center. This park will be an asset to the community. Mary Jane’s accomplishments in and for the community are numerous and impressive.
I urge you to vote for Mary Jane Glaser for Tahoma School Board.
