The YWCA will host a series of financial education classes, Hope and Power for Your Personal Finances for victims/survivors of domestic violence May 29 through July 31 in a confidential location in South King County.
Classes will be every Tuesday evening from 5:30—8:30 p.m. with dinner available starting at 5 p.m.
Childcare will be provided on site and transportation assistance is available.
During the ten weeks, the classes will cover:

Taking a Personal Financial Inventory

How to Save on a Limited Income
How to Get and Read your Credit Report
Improving Your Credit
Federal Income Taxes/EITC
Getting a Job
Financial Aid for School
Starting your own Small Business
Family Law and DV Protections
Finding a Place to Live
Tenants’ Rights
Protecting yourself with Insurance

If someone is unable to attend this class, classes will be held in the fall, from 12-3 p.m. on Wednesday afternoons Sept. 12 through Nov. 14. This series will also be in South King County.
