Patti Jenson of Allstate has received the first 2011 Business of the Quarter Award by The Greater Maple Valley-Black Diamond Chamber of Commerce
The criteria for the quarterly awards is based ton how well the Chamber feels a business individual is committed to the community they are surrounded by, as well as the contributions they make to the growth of their respective business industry and the business community as a whole.
Each business nominated is examined based on their performance and growth. Other determinations range from how well they train their staff to the quality of customer service.
“Patti certainly meets all the criteria as a professional in her field and as a community contributor through her donation of time and talent in the Chamber, Maple Valley Rotary, and Valley Guys and Doll,” said the Chamber of Commerce in a press release. “The Chamber believes small businesses need to be celebrated more than ever. They are the backbone of the nation’s economy, creating jobs and helping build strong communities. It is time to honor the achievements, the dedication, and the innovative spirit of entrepreneurs.”
Patti’s Allstate Agency is located in Four Corner Square next to Phillips Tae Kwon Do and Four Corners Family Dentistry.
The first quarter list of nominees included Cedar Grove Composting, the Tahoma School District, Jimmy Wasmund of All Service Plumbing, Karen and Michael Crowe of EnviroSpect Northwest,; Wendy Riess of Headgames Salon and Bryan Kelley of Valley Automotive.
The Chamber will gives out the award each quarter at its general membership luncheons and at the annual President’s Dinner and Auction in February.
