AT&T and T-Mobile merger inspires the perfect app | Dennis Box

The AT&T plan to purchase T-Mobile for a cool $39 billion has been hot news the past week. I am hoping this means I will no longer need to stand in the street and wait for a cement truck to nearly run me over before I finally get those funny little connection bars.

The AT&T plan to purchase T-Mobile for a cool $39 billion has been hot news the past week.

I am hoping this means I will no longer need to stand in the street and wait for a cement truck to nearly run me over before I finally get those funny little connection bars.

Personally, I think an argument can be made that a couple of Dixie cups and a string works about as well as my cell phone.

I spend a lot of time getting annoyed with all the stuff my cell phone is supposed to do and never does.

Everyone I know has these hot new phones and apps. Apps – I love that usage. What it means is a fun thing on your phone that works on the third full moon after the druid solstice… maybe.

I did an article a couple of months ago about ghosts in the Black Diamond cemetery and for the first time I heard about a great new app.

This company is supposed to come out with an app for cell phones to find ghosts.

Now that is a useful app.

I don’t care about a phone app telling me where I am or where I am going or not going. I already know that and I would rather not be reminded.

But, a ghost finder, that makes it all worth while.

The ghost finder idea made a dim light go off for another great app.

This app is for fathers only. I call it the boy-o-meter. I am certain this is a million dollar idea.

Test your daughter’s potential little evil doers with the boy-o-meter.

I suggested my grand scheme to my daughter. I think she said I was crazy, but, I wasn’t listening too closely.

I am convinced every father I know would love this app. A boy comes over, you take the phone out and wave it around and a bunch of red lights flash.

“All right kid, red lights, you’re out of here… and by the way there is a ghost standing behind you.”

Imagine, cell phones that really work with useful apps. This world of cell phones and apps should get more and more interesting.

I can hardly wait for this AT&T deal to go through.

It’s only another year of standing on the street dodging cement trucks and staring at the connection bars.

Plenty of time to develop that boy-o-meter app.
