The Greater Maple Valley Unincorporated Area Council met for its regular monthly meeting July 12. Several major topics discussed were joint unincorporated area council forum, Black Diamond master planned developments and King County code change recommendations.
The council serves as an all volunteer, locally elected advisory body to the King County Council representing all rural unincorporated area residents living in the Tahoma School District.
The Greater Maple Valley Unincorporated Area Council regular monthly meeting was June 7.
Topics discussed included Ravensdale park, municipal league, King County strategic planning, Fire district and Black Diamond master planned developments.
The Greater Maple Valley Area Council monthly meeting is scheduled for 7-9:30 p.m. Monday, June 7, at the King County Police Precinct No. 3, located at the northeast corner of S.E.231st Street and state Route 169 across from the fire station.
The Greater Maple Valley Unincorporated Area Council’s regular monthly meeting was May 3. Three major topics were discussed, the proposed Covington Multi-Care hospital, the proposed master planned developments in Black Diamond and rural area impacts from urban development.
Maj. Dave Germani described several changes in store for Sheriff’s Precinct No. 3 in Maple Valley. Due to budget cuts and recent annexations, King County is consolidating two unincorporated precincts, No. 2 (north) and No. 3 (south) into one precinct that will comprise 1,600 square miles of area.
