Winter is here! Raincoats and umbrellas are out, and skiers are itching to get out on the slopes. And the holiday season is here and all that it involves. It’s time for my annual guidelines to help keep your pets healthy and happy throughout the winter months.
I am constantly amazed how technology is changing our lives. As a veterinarian, I am always challenged to keep up with these changes, especially when it is related to how health care is delivered to my patients. I also have to admit, I am a bit of a technology junkie, and enjoy taking advantage of the opportunities to improve my patients’ care and treatment using technology.
I rarely have time to watch T.V. during the day, but on a recent visit to my parents, I caught a little of the Price is Right. At the end of each show, I remember Bob Barker reminding people to have their pets spayed or neutered. This gave me inspiration for this month’s article, the benefits of spaying and neutering your pets, going beyond the obvious benefits of decreasing the number of unwanted pets.
