April 18

  • ASSAULT: 18400 block of Southeast 264th Place. A man grabbed then slapped his wife in the face.

April 17

  • BURGLARY: 21000 block of Southeast 269th Street. Someone broke into a home and took a floor safe which contained collectible coins.
  • THEFT: 16900 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A customer was advised by a store employee to leave his backpack on the shelf at the front of the store in order to shop. While he was shopping the victim’s backpack was taken.

April 16

  • CRACKED WINDSHIELD: Southeast Wax Road and 190th Place Southeast. While traveling west on Wax Road an officer noticed the gold Volvo in front of him had a cracked windshield that encroached on the driver’s line of sight. During the traffic stop the deputy discovered the driver was behind the wheel despite having a suspended license.

April 15

  • YOU’VE GOT MAILBOX DAMAGE: 25400 block of 173rd Lane Southeast. At 10 p.m. on April 14, the homeowner’s mailbox was in its proper place, but when he left his house at 8:30 the next morning he discovered his mailbox and a neighbor’s had been knocked off the stand where they were normally stationed.
  • FOUND: 27100 block of 180th Avenue Southeast. A Ford F250 pickup truck that had been stolen was recovered in the parking lot of Covington MultiCare.

April 14

  • FAMILY THING: 17000 block of Southeast 270th Place. A woman and her mother-in-law were caught shoplifting at Kohl’s. The pair were arrested and could be charged with larceny.
  • USE YOUR TURN SIGNAL: Southeast 270th Place and Southeast Wax Road. A driver failed to signal and was pulled over. The officer discovered the motorist’s license had been suspended. The car was impounded by Royal Towing of Black Diamond.
