There will be a “My Wedding My Way” showcase from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Green River Community College Saturday, March 10.
If you’re getting married and want something different, Maximus/Minimus might be the caterer for you. The mobile pig-shaped food truck, which serves pulled pork and macaroni and cheese, will be just one of the vendors scheduled for the event.
It is the first of its kind in the South Puget Sound region to showcase both traditional and offbeat wedding professionals. It will feature local crafters, photographers, caterers and other wedding vendors.
Throughout the day couples can attend hands-on workshops, watch fashion shows and enjoy live performances.
“There’s a little something for everyone,” Jaime Simmons, My Wedding My Way’s creator, said. “There’s definitely a trend towards more personality in weddings.
We want to give couples a space to explore their options.”Parking and admission is free.
The event will be held in the Lindbloom Student Center.
The college is located at 12401 SE 320th Street Auburn.
