School answers call of cell phones for soldiers

Tahoma Junior High School is a dropoff site for a cell phone drive benefitting U.S. military personnel.

Used, old and broken cell phones and their chargers are collected in the school’s main office for recycling through Cell Phones for Soldiers, a national non-profit organization. Proceeds are then used to purchase calling cards for soldiers serving abroad. Information on the program is available at www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com.

The school is at 25600 SE. Summit-Landsburg Road.
