The residential recycling collection event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 12 at Rock Creek Elementary School.

The residential recycling collection event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 12 at Rock Creek Elementary School.

The school is located at 25700 Maple Valley Highway.

There will also include a worm bin and compost bin sale at $20 each (cash only).

 

Items accepted include:

 

New – Mattresses/Futons – fee applies

Motor Oil & Filters/Antifreeze

Lead Acid Batteries

Alkaline Batteries

Tires – some fees apply

Porcelain Toilets & Sinks – fee applies

Propane Tanks – fee applies

Cardboard

Bulky Wood

Appliances/Scrap Metal – some fees apply

Refrigerators & Freezers – fee applies

Electronic Equipment – no computer monitors or televisions

Through E-Cycle Washington you can take TVs, computers, monitors, and laptops to the Maple Valley Goodwill, however, the event will accept DVD players, VCRs, stereo equipment, printers, copiers, fax machines, scanners, cellular phones and computer peripherals; keyboards and mice.

Compact Fluorescent bulb or tubes are not accepted at the event but can be recycled at the Household Hazardous Wastemobile at the Auburn Supermall on Saturday and Sunday of each month from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
