Ticket sales have begun for two performances at Kentwood High School Performing Arts Center that will kick off the 2008-09 Kent Arts Commission Spotlight Series season:

• The Capitol Steps, a musical and political satire troupe of former congressional stafferrs from Washington, D.C., is scheduled for Sept. 21.

• East Village Opera Company, a mixture of opera and rock, is on tap for Sept. 28.
