Tahoma splits a win and loss before rain postpones league games | Baseball

The rain played havoc with the Tahoma High baseball team this week. The home game against Kentridge scheduled for Monday was rained out and a Tuesday game against Kentwood was also cancelled.

The rain played havoc with the Tahoma High baseball team this week. The home game against Kentridge scheduled for Monday was rained out and a Tuesday game against Kentwood was also cancelled.

The Kentridge game was rescheduled for Wednesday. Scores were not available due to the press deadline. Check The Reporter Web site, www.maplevalleyreporter.com for scores.

The Kentwood game is scheduled to be played 4 p.m. Friday at home.

Last week the Bears picked up a non-league win and a South Puget Sound League North division loss.

Tahoma beat Spanaway at home 12-2 Friday, March 26.

Spencer Hobson picked up the win for the Bears.

Hitting highlights included a home run off the bat of Jerad Casper. He went 3-2 at the plate with three RBIs.

Brian Olson hit 2-2 with two RBIs and a double.

Ryan Ota swung 2-4 with two RBIs.

Taylor Smart continued his hot hitting going 3-4 with two RBIs.

The Bears lost an SPSL North division game to Kentlake, 12-9 at home Wednesday, March 24.

Casper took the loss on the mound. At the plate Casper hit 2-4 with six RBIs.

Olson went 2-4 with two RBIs and a two bagger.

Ota hit 2-3, scoring three runs.

The Bears are 0-2 in league and 3-3 overall.
