If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: Bret Hartnett, Kevin Katsafanas, and Bryan Mills because they are my biggest fans. We would eat pasta and salad because it’s always my pre-game meal. Favorite movie: Up and Wall-E. Most recent book read/author: “Breaking Dawn” by Stephanie Meyer. What’s on your iPod?: Christmas music.

HAYDEN PETERSON, Kentwood

Grade: Junior. Sport: Wrestling. Accomplishment: Peterson, a 119-pound standout, worked an 18-1 technical fall of Kentridge’s Taylor Lee on Dec. 9, leading the Conquerors past the Chargers 39-21. Favorite class: American Sign Language. If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: Seth Rogen, steak, crab, mashed potatoes, and garlic bread. Favorite movie: Billy Madison. Most recent book read/author: “The Road” by Cormac McCarthy. What’s on your iPod?: “Float on” by Modest Mouse. Also noted: Peterson qualified for state as a freshman and has been on the varsity for three years.

RILEY BUTLER, Kentlake

Grade: Senior. Sport: Basketball. Accomplishment: Butler scored a game-high 15 points on Dec. 18, leading the Kentlake past Kent-Meridian 58-39. Favorite class: French. If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite my Kentlake basketball team so we can dance and eat lasagna and (drink) milkshakes. Greatest athletic moment: Anytime I get to play with the Jammin’ Legend Basketball team or the Jammin’ Blazers volleyball team. Most recent book read/author: “A Long Way Gone” by Ishmael Beah. What’s on your iPod?: “City is mine” and “Still fly freestyle” by Drake. Also noted: Butler played with Jammin’ Basketball of the Carly Stowell Foundation for the past four years, the Jammin’ volleyball team for the past two years and will play basketball at Seattle Pacific next year on scholarship.

NORA KEITH, Kent-Meridian

Grade: Senior. Sport: Gymnastics. Accomplishment: In a meet between Kent-Meridian, Kentlake and Kentridge, Keith came away with the overall title, registering a score of 35.5. Favorite class: IB English. If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: Zach Whitver and Kelly Campbell. We would have Chinese food. Greatest athletic moment: Receiving a third-place medal in the vault at last year’s state meet. Most recent book read/author: “The Bell Jar” by Sylvia Plath. What’s on your iPod?: Country music. Also noted: Keith wants to attend either Western Washington University or Washington State. She recently earned her Girl Scout Gold Award and sports a 3.5 grade-point average.

DANIEL LANDRAM, Kentlake

Grade: Junior. Sport: Basketball. Accomplishment: Landram scored a team-high 22 points in an 81-72 win over Kent-Meridian last Friday night. Favorite class: Math. If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: If I could invite anyone to dinner it would be Magic Johnson and I would serve pizza. Greatest athletic moment: Becoming varsity captain my sophomore year. Most recent book read/author: J.K. Rowling. What’s on your iPod?: I like songs by “Chip the Ripper.” Also noted: Landram set a new school record for goals scored this past fall for Kentlake’s boys soccer team.
