The Lake Sawyer community put on canoe, kayak and paddleboat races Saturday as part of a day-long Fourth of July celebration.
The races took place between the big islands at 3:30 with many of the boaters having as much fun shooting water cannons as competing.
Following the fun at the races, the community had a boat parade and a fireworks extravaganza at 10 p.m. in the middle of the lake.
