The Covington Domestic Violence Task Force hopes to benefit from a holiday recycle drive. The recycle event is for old electronics devices like cell phones, chargers, laptops, video games and consoles, digital cameras, DVDs, GPS systems and iPods.

The Covington Domestic Violence Task Force hopes to benefit from a holiday recycle drive.

The recycle event is for electronics devices like cell phones, chargers, laptops, video games and consoles, digital cameras, DVDs, GPS systems and iPods.

The task force will receive a cash return for all recycled items plus a $50 bonus if they collect 100 cell phones or $200 worth of items. Proceeds from the collection drive are used to provide direct services to victims of domestic violence such as motel vouchers, food, transportation to shelter or gas cards to keep victims and their children safe.

Event will continue through Jan. 14. Recycled items can be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday at City Hall, 16720 SE 271st Street, Suite 100, Covington.

The Covington task force is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization and can provide a tax deduction receipt if requested.
